MediaCast announced as Founding Member for PRCA APAC: Australia Network
Blake Frederiks, October, 2022

We are excited to announce MediaCast is officially a Founding Member for the PRCA APAC: Australia Network.

The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) is the world’s largest professional PR body, representing over 35,000 PR professionals in more than 80 countries worldwide.

The association’s mission is to create a more professional, ethical, and prosperous PR industry, championing professional standards around the world.

Replacing the PRCA Southeast Asia founded in 2018, The PRCA APAC launched in Hong Kong in 2021 with the aim of raising standards in PR and Communications within the Asia Pacific region, providing members with industry data, facilitating the sharing of communications best practices, and creating networking opportunities.

After significant membership growth within the region, the association has recently introduced The PRCA Asia Pacific: Australia Network.

The network is dedicated to supporting the industry in Australia and is the latest initiative designed to provide information, support, events, and advice to practising PR and communications professionals across the country.

The network will highlight best practice and champion PR’s importance in business and society. Commenting on the launch of the Network, Head of PRCA Asia Pacific, Tara Munis said:

“Given the resources and incredible platform of the PRCA, we have the power to implement and support initiatives that address challenges in the Australian PR and communications industry. We believe that through the leadership and expertise of our new Board, we can further strengthen Australia’s position as industry leaders in APAC.”

For MediaCast, the announcement further positions us as a leading representative within the PR and communications sector in Australia.

As a Founding Member, we will contribute to the network though sharing our expertise across the region and in turn, grow our professional network and increase our industry knowledge through collaborating on areas of common interest and shared best practices.

Previously a member of PRCA UK in London, our British-born Managing Director Fran Chalmers is thrilled to bring her expertise to the newly established Network.

“PRCA’s launch in Australia is incredibly exciting for the PR industry and I’m looking forward to being involved in initiatives to see the PR and communications industry in Australia grow and flourish.
Having attended PRCA awards nights in London, with campaigns I’ve worked on awarded by the peak body, it feels like a natural next step for us to be part of their founding journey in Australia,” Fran says of the announcement.
